Tulsa City Council Files Ethics Complaint Against Mayor

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa City Council filed an ethics complaint against Mayor Dewey Bartlett Tuesday. It is the formal step that sends the complaint to City Auditor Preston Doerflinger for review.

The city council voted Thursday night to make the complaint over Bartlett accepting free legal services from a lawyer who also works as a contractor for the City of Tulsa.

After the vote, a spokesman for Mayor Dewey Bartlett said the attorney, Joel Wohlgemuth, would take no part in representing the City of Tulsa while working on behalf of the Mayor.

The City Council complaint is filed with the City Clerk, for review by the City Auditor.
