50-Foot Cross Erected In Washington County

OCHELATA, OK -- A Washington County rancher is erecting a 50-foot high cross on a bluff south and west of Bartlesville.

The cross is being erected on the P23 Angus Ranch north of Ochelata. 

The ranch is owned by Paul and Avis Woodward and is named for Psalms 23.

The family says American Heavy Equipment Rental dug the hole earlier this week, and Taylor Crane and Rigging in Coffeyville donated its time and equipment to erect the cross Tuesday afternoon.
