TULSA, OK -- A 25-year-old man is dead after he was shot Monday evening. The victim, identified as Eric Vann Spotwood, was found at about 7:15 p.m. on the front porch of a home near the 4400 block of North Detroit Avenue.
Spotwood had a gunshot wound to the chest area.
Tulsa Police don't believe Spotwood lived at the home. They said it appeared to be abandoned.
They believe the shooting occurred near 46th Street North and Cincinnati, near a Tastee Freeze and that the victim ran east until he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said Spotwood had numerous tattoos on his upper chest and arms that are consistent with gang membership, but they won't say if the shooting was gang-related.
Officers are looking for two vehicles of interest. Police say a blue or emerald green Chevy Suburban was occupied by numerous black males and is believed to be the suspect vehicle.
The victim's Black Dodge Nitro was taken during this incident, police say. Homicide Detectives recovered it Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle was found in the area of 5300 West 12th Street. Police say the vehicle was not occupied at the time of the recovery. The photo to the right is similar to the vehicle.
If you have any information, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
This is Tulsa's 35th homicide of 2010.
