TULSA, OK -- Police say a pregnant woman was taken to a local hospital after her unborn child's father opened fire on her, two other women and a toddler.

It happened in the 4600 of North Rockford around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say a car with three women and a 1-year-old child pulled up to a home on that street when the man started shooting at the car. Two bullets went in through the trunk of the car and struck the car seat the child was sitting in, according to the police.

One bullet stopped but another passed into the seat but did not strike the child.

The women left the scene and went to a nearby family member's home. Police and EMSA were called to that residence.

The pregnant woman had been shot in the back but is expected to be okay. She told officers her child's father had threatened to kill her earlier in the day.

Police are investigating the shooting with intent to kill.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
