Man Killed In Accident On Tulsa Highway Monday Night

TULSA, OK -- One man was killed in a single car accident on U.S. Highway 169 Monday night, Tulsa Police said.

The driver was headed southbound on 169 just after 9 p.m. when he lost control and hit the center wall just north of the 21st Street exit.

The man was ejected from the vehicle.  He died at the scene.

"The vehicle traveled a little bit of distance, probably about 40 or 50 yards from where he came out of the vehicle," Tulsa Police Captain Brett Bailey said.

Police have not released the victim's name.

Traffic was backed up for about an hour while crews cleaned up the accident.
