OOLOGAH, OK -- A federal lawsuit by a group of parents against the Oologah-Talala School District has been settled.

In a filing in Tulsa Federal Court last week, both parties announced a settlement to the lawsuit.

Both parties say they will pay their own legal fees and the school district has agreed to implement new policies and/or update existing policies concerning the use of drug dogs on school property and student searches.

The K-9 officer, which was an employee of the city of Owasso was dismissed from the lawsuit.
