Muskogee Law Enforcement Looking For Prison Escapee

MUSKOGEE, OK -- A 34-year-old Muskogee man escaped Tuesday afternoon from an Oklahoma Department of Corrections pre-release center in Muskogee. 

The DOC says Shannon D. Smith was last seen at 12:30 p.m. at the center at 3031 North 32^nd Street. 

Smith was serving prison sentences for assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony. 

He was set for release in April of 2012.
