Tulsa Police broke up a fist fight that turned into a gun fight Thursday evening in east Tulsa. A 20-year-old man was arrested in the incident.

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police broke up a fist fight that turned into a gun fight Thursday evening in east Tulsa. A 20-year-old man was arrested in the incident.

Police were called to the fight in the 12100 block of East 35th Street at about 5:45 p.m. to investigate a possible shooting, according to TPD daily reports.

"Officers discovered that two groups of kids were confronting each other with the intent to fist fight when one suspect pulled out a gun and pistol whipped the victim," the report states.

One round was discharged from the gun, possibly by accident, during the beating.

Daniel Lee Pearce, 20, of Tulsa was arrested on a complaints of assault with a deadly weapon as well as several traffic complaints.

The victim was treated and released at St. Francis hospital for minor head trauma.
