DELAWARE COUNTY -- A Grove woman and her 4-year-old grandchild were killed in an ATV accident Sunday morning just outside of Grove in Delaware County, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Tonya Joe Cochran, 49, lost control of a Polaris 500 ATV she was driving westbound on County Road 252. The four-wheeler left the roadway to the south side and went into a roll.

Cochran and a passenger, her 4-year-old grandson Wesley A. Cochran, were ejected from the vehicle about 8 feet, landing on the steps of a house. The four-wheeler then landed on both the victims.

Neither were wearing helmets, according to the OHP report. The driver's condition at the time of the accident is listed as unknown.
