Is The PAC-10 Ready To Extend Invites to OU, OSU And 4 Other Big 12 Schools?

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A sports website is reporting the Pac-10 Conference is preparing to invite Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and three other Big 12 Conference schools to the conference. 

The website cites multiple sources close to the conference, which is said to also be preparing to invite Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Colorado. 

The PAC 10 Commissioner says they haven't made any decision yet.  Big 12 officials still believe their league will keep its teams.

"What we have now is pretty good, and to tinker with it may be a risk," said Dan Beebe, Big 12 Commissioner. "Nonetheless, each of us has to be prepared with contingencies and I think in balance you'd have to look at what the risks are to the student athletes.  Their academic performance, and their welfare."
