TULSA, OK -- Alcohol may have played a role in a head-on collision at 6th and Harvard that injured three people at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday, police say.

A bronze Chevy Malibu traveling southbound at 5th and Harvard crossed the center line, striking a black and gold Ford Explorer heading northbound.

Police say the driver of the Malibu, 39-year-old Evelyn Hagen, was trapped in the vehicle and extricated by Tulsa firefighters.

She was transported to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries, according to police.

Hagen's husband and the driver of the Ford Explorer, 53-year-old Karen Harr, were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision. They say they suspect the driver of the Malibu was intoxicated.
