Horse Trailer Wreck Ties Up Turner Turnpike Traffic

OKLAHOMA CITY – A wreck involving a horse trailer blocked the entrance ramp to the Turner Turnpike in Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers had to close the ramp from northbound Interstate 35 to the turnpike for over an hour as troopers and others corralled about 20 horses that had escaped from the trailer after the crash.

The OHP says the only injuries were to several of the horses.

No word on what caused the crash.
