VERDIGRIS, OK -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Verdigris Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of multi-vehicle crash on state Highway 266 about a mile west of state Highway 66 Wednesday morning.

Two trucks and two cars were involved in the wreck.

Troopers say a car heading west on 266 slowed to make a turn when a car following behind rear ended it and pushed it into the eastbound lane.  An eastbound truck then struck the car which ended up on its side.  A westbound dump truck on 266 attempted to avoid the crash and ran off the road.

Four people in the cars were injured and transported to area hospitals.  Troopers say it appears all the injuries were minor.

State Highway 266 near the Port of Catoosa was closed in both directions while the scene was cleaned up and the wrecked vehicles removed.
