TULSA, OK -- People from all faiths and from all across the country are taking time out of their day for prayer.
Several churches in Tulsa held special services Thursday to mark the National Day of Prayer, including one that Victory Christian held at Oral Roberts University.
The National Day of Prayer began in 1775. A law was passed in 1988 making it the first Thursday in May.
