TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa YWCA is asking you to take a stand against racism.
On Friday, folks in Tulsa and around the country participated in events to raise awareness.
A roundtable discussion at the North Tulsa Historical Society got Tulsan's talking about today's issues, while a YWCA early learning center used paper dolls to teach kids that everyone deserves kindness and respect.
"It's really about creating a ground swell today, across the country, a grassroots movement of standing against racism," said Mana Tahaie, YWCA Director of Racial Justice.
More than 250,000 people across the country joined the cause.
