TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa woman will run a historic marathon Monday.
But, getting to this point was no walk in the park for Kathy Rossman. Just before last year's race, she was hit by a truck while riding her bike.
"Thank goodness I was wearing a helmet because my head did go through the windshield and I didn't sustain any head injuries and it was solely because of the helmet," said Rossman.
Rossman says it took some work getting back into shape. She's not afraid to admit getting back on her bike was scary. But, she took baby steps until she was running at full stride.
She'll take part in Monday's 114th Boston Marathon, the oldest annual marathon in the world.
