TULSA, OK -- The IBC Bank at the 5300 block of the Skelly Bypass access road was robbed Saturday at about 9:20 a.m.
A lone man walked into the bank location "screaming and waving a gun," said Corporal Scott Anderson of the Tulsa Police Department. The suspect demanded money from the teller. At one point the man became angry and struck the teller in the head with a black handgun, according to police.
The teller does not appear to be seriously injured, Anderson said. The man made away with an undisclosed sum of money in a blue bag. He fled on foot going southwest of the bank towards some nearby apartments.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10 to 6' tall, about 175 pounds. Police did not have an age estimate. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and possibly red shoes. His face was covered with black stockings.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
