JENKS, OK -- A Green Country high school student's hard work earns him an audience with the first lady of the united states.

Jenks senior Alex England spoke to first Lady Michelle Obama this morning live on C-SPAN.

Their conversation was part of a nationwide townhall on childhood obesity.

England was chosen to participate because of a documentary film he produced on the subject.

He says talking to the first lady was quite an experience.

"It's kind of weird," England said.  "It felt just like a casual conversation, but it was hard to think that there was a whole TV station and everyone was hearing my voice."

More than 2,000 students entered the C-SPAN competition, and England won an honorable mention award for his documentary.
