MUSKOGEE, OK -- Election workers across eastern Oklahoma spent Tuesday evening counting Oklahoma's votes.
One of the more interesting elections was the race for mayor of Muskogee.
In that race, political prodigy John Tyler Hammons won re-election.
He was a teenager when he was elected two years ago and he easily defeated three challengers.
Votes:
John Tyler Hammons | 2,531 |
John Coburn | 1,447 |
Christopher James | 877 |
Teresa Garris | 67 |
Hammons is 21-years-old. He says his age has helped him bring new ideas to city hall.
