Man Injured In Sand Springs Industrial Accident

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- An 18-year-old man was injured in an industrial accident Saturday afternoon at Webco in Sand Springs.

EMSA reports it happened at 3:35 p.m. in the 200 block of Woodland Drive.

The Sand Springs Fire Department says the man was working when a heavy roll of raw material fell onto him, crushing his legs.

The Sand Springs Fire Department assisted in the extrication and stabilization of the man until EMSA arrived.

EMSA reports it provided advanced life support to the worker as he was transported to a Tulsa hospital. He is listed in critical condition.

Webco manufactures specialty metal tubing and pipes.
