TULSA, OK -- The University of Tulsa and the Daming Palace Academy in China signed an agreement Thursday morning that creates a cultural exchange between the two institutions.
The Daming Palace Academy is a $1.76 billion cultural preservation project in Shannxi, China.
That project is working to preserve the imperial palace of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Representatives from the Daming Palace Academy are currently participating in an eight-day visit to Oklahoma.
TU officials say later this year, the two institutions will exchange cultural gifts to commemorate the relationship.
