SPIRO, OK -- Family, friends and even total strangers honored an Oklahoma man killed in Afghanistan.
Army Sergeant Vincent Owens died after his transport came under attack March 1st. People from across the country went to the small town of Spiro, in Le Flore County, for his funeral on Friday.
"That's the least we could do, because he gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, you know. He gave his life," said Pam Perry with the Choctaw Nation.
Family members say Owens loved to ride his motorcycle. So it was fitting that more than 250 fellow bikers escorted his casket the twenty miles from Spiro to Fort Smith, Arkansas where he was buried.
