Tulsa Police: Armed Man Scared Off By Screaming Woman

TULSA, OK -- A suspect in an attempted armed robbery is behind bars Thursday morning following his arrest by Tulsa Police.

According to police the attempted robbery happened at 6:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of North Hartford.

Tulsa Police say the suspect was wearing a hockey mask and was armed with a pistol when he approached a man and demanded money.

Officers say he ran off when the victim's girlfriend starting screaming.

Police officers spotted the suspect a short time later and arrested him.  They say they also recovered the mask and the handgun.
