TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's new police chief is expected to present his budget for the next fiscal year on Tuesday.
It is possible that budget will include money to re-hire 55 laid off officers.
Tuesday's budget proposal lays out a plan for the fiscal year starting July 1st.
Thirty-five recently re-hired police officers were told their salaries would be included in the budget, so they don't have to worry about being laid-off again.
Police Chief Chuck Jordan, Mayor Dewey Bartlett and representatives from Tulsa's police union have been in talks to re-hire the other laid off officers, but have so far not come up with any plan to make that happen.
