Tulsa Police: Man Shot In Stomach During Robbery Attempt

TULSA, OK -- There is no condition report on a man shot in the stomach Sunday evening in the 6300 block of East Independence Street.

Tulsa Police got the call at 7:44 p.m. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who stated he was walking to his house in the 800 block of North Norwood when he was shot.

Witnesses told officers that two males in a two-door white vehicle shot the man in the stomach after he refused to give them his wallet.

EMSA took the man to a Tulsa hospital.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
