YUKON, OK -- Some Oklahoma teachers are getting some lessons from their students.
Students in Yukon are teaching technology to their teachers. Class was out for students Monday, but for teachers the professional day was focused on technology, taught by the experts they know best, their students.
They were given lessons on everything from how to find tools online, to how to incorporate them into the classroom.
"We have a group of teachers that are learning how to search iTunes for things like interactive components for iPods and things they will use in the classroom. We also have a group of teachers learning how to create podcasts," said Dawn Danker, Yukon Schools Director of Technology.
Monday's lessons are in preparation for a move to a new high school next year where all classrooms will be equipped with laptops and iPod touches.
