UNDATED -- More snow is in the forecast for Oklahoma, this time it is for much of southern Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service has upgraded a Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for most of southern Oklahoma.

Periods of heavy snow are developing across the region.

One to three inches of snow is forecast for Pittsburgh County and that amount goes higher as you go farther south.  Three to four inches of snow are expected across Pushmataha and Choctaw counties with higher terrain locations receiving up to five inches of snow.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol expects travel to become very hazardous by late Thursday afternoon or evening.

The heavy wet snow may also cause isolated power outages across the region.
