VERDIGRIS, OK -- One man died in a three-vehicle crash on state Highway 266 Thursday morning in Rogers County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at about 6:43 a.m. when Steve White, 36, of Claremore attempted to turn left onto the highway off NS411 Road.
The OHP says White's 2001 Chevy Blazer was hit in the driver's side door by an eastbound 2006 International box truck.
According to the OHP, the box truck then struck a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup truck that was stationary in the westbound lane as its driver waited to turn off the highway onto the county road.
White was pronounced dead at the scene. The OHP says White was not wearing a seatbelt, but that the other two drivers were.
The driver of the truck was not injured and the driver of the pickup truck refused treatment at the scene.
OHP troopers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
