Claremore Man Wins Big With Mega Millions

CLAREMORE, OK -- A Claremore resident has claimed a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000. 

State Lottery officials say this is the first Mega Millions win in Oklahoma to hit five of five white balls just missing the Mega ball number.

Jeffery Haff says he bought his winning ticket at a convenience store in Claremore. 

"I'm extremely excited!" Haff said. "Winning hasn't sunk in yet." 

Haff, along with his fiancée Deborah, say they play the Lottery regularly.

In a news release, the couple plans on using the money toward bills and the purchase of a new truck.  

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
