Lost Car Keys Lead Officers To Tulsa Motel Robbery Suspect

A 26-year-old Tulsa man is behind bars after police say he lost his car keys during the robbery of a Tulsa motel early Thursday.

TULSA, OK -- A 26-year-old Tulsa man is behind bars after police say he lost his car keys during the robbery of a Tulsa motel early Thursday. 

The robbery occurred at the La Quinta Inn near 41st and U.S. Highway 169 just before 2 a.m. 

Police say the man was wearing a blue bandana and black hooded sweatshirt when he walked into the motel armed with a pistol. 

The man got away with cash and a cash register.  Afterwards, police found a set of keys to a Cadillac in a motel hallway.

Police went outside, where they found Darnell Wright sitting in a Cadillac in the parking lot.

Officers say they found items taken in the robbery in the car, as well as a blue bandana and a black, hooded sweatshirt.
