Cox Communications Offers Free Phone Calls To Haiti

Cox Communications is offering free long distance calls to Haiti for its customers through February 28, 2010.

TULSA, OK -- Cox Communications is offering free long distance calls to Haiti for its customers through February 28, 2010.

Cox officials said the program will be retroactive to January 12, 2010 and will be automatic for all Cox Digital Telephone customers with long distance service.

Calls to both landlines and cell phones dialed to country code 509 will be included in the program.

"We want to make it easier for our customers to get in touch with their friends and family members in Haiti; this is one more way that Cox can lend our support to the people of Haiti during this terrible tragedy," said Leo Brennan, Cox's chief operating officer.
