TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Oilers will assist the American Red Cross with its efforts to aid Haitian earthquake victims this weekend.
At both games this weekend, fans at the game who make a $10 donation to the Red Cross effort by text messaging the word "Haiti" to number 90999 will also receive a free ticket to a future Oilers game.
Fans will simply take their text message confirmation to the Oilers Fan Assistance Center to receive their free ticket.
The weekend's games are Friday's 7:35 p.m. match up with Wichita and Sunday's 4:05 p.m. game with Rio Grande Valley at the BOK Center.
"This is certainly an event that's bigger than hockey and we want to encourage our fans to do their part to help the Red Cross in its efforts to help the earthquake victims," said Oilers General manager Taylor Hall.
"The $10 donations are really adding up and making a big difference."
