HOMINY, OK -- The struggling economy is forcing police layoffs in the Osage County town of Hominy.

One fulltime and one part-time officer have lost their jobs.

An animal control officer position was also eliminated, as were two people in the streets department.

The city manager blames a drop in revenue from utility bills and sales tax.
