BROKEN ARROW, OK -- Family and friends of Kaitlyn Finnegan gathered Saturday to remember her, on what would have been her 19th birthday.
They released dozens of purple balloons at Floral Haven in her memory.
Kaitlyn was a senior at Bishop Kelly when she was shot and killed at a party last year, just one month before graduation.

Her parents say everyone has spent a lot of time mourning their daughter's death, and now it is time to celebrate her life.
"It's incredible, it means she touched a lot of lives. And, we're just so proud of her," said Jim Finnegan, Kaitlyn's father.
Theo Fleming is charged with second degree murder in Kaitlyn's death. He is currently appealing a ruling that he be tried as an adult.
