TULSA, OK -- Speed and not the weather was the cause of an overnight semi-truck accident in west Tulsa.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident at I-44 and I-244 shut down a portion of the highway for about an hour early Wednesday morning.
OHP troopers say the driver of the semi was going too fast around a curve near the intersection of the two interstate highways. The driver lost control, causing the truck to slide on the snow, hit a guardrail and roll on its side.
Sapulpa Fire crews were called in to clean up leaked diesel fuel on the interstate.
The driver was not hurt.
The semi was pushed off the highway so the roadway could be re-opened to traffic.
