Bixby Church Gives Away More Than 100 Bikes

BIXBY, OK -- Christmas rode in on two wheels for some kids in Bixby.

Bixby Community Church held its first Bicycle Blessing Giveaway on Saturday.

The church gave away more than 100 bicycles to local children in need.

"A bike is that gift of Christmas that every kid remembers the rest of their life and all I want is for a kid to remember this and when they're our age to give back also," said Steve Green, senior pastor of Bixby Community Church.

Besides the bikes, there was food, music, face painting, Christmas carols, carriage rides and photos with Santa.

The church plans to make this an annual event.
