OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahomans who have exhausted their regular and extended unemployment compensation can file for a new round of benefits.

The new extension of federal emergency unemployment compensation, known as EUC Tier 3, was established as part of the recently-approved Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009.

Tier 3 allows Oklahomans to collect unemployment for up to 13 weeks.

More than 5,000 Oklahomans are expected to be able to draw EUC Tier 3 benefits immediately.
