TULSA, OK -- Thousands laced up their shoes for the 32nd annual Tulsa Run. It's the oldest and largest run in the state.

And the weather couldn't have been better Saturday morning.

Several runners dressed in costume as this year's run fell on Halloween. Even Superman took to the streets to enjoy the crisp October air.

This year's Tulsa Run has extra special meaning after Mayor Kathy Taylor set a goal for Tulsans to get fit by excersing their way to a million miles.

It's just so exciting," said Mayor Kathy Taylor. "Tulsa has made such a big impact this year running, walking, biking a million miles and we had hundreds of kids that were out here.

"We know Tulsa statistics with fighting obesity, particularly childhood obesity - we made a difference this year."

Tulsa not only met the goal of a million miles, but surpassed it by 6,000 miles.

Race results are available now.
