Peoria Avenue At I-44 To Close Monday In Tulsa Construction

TULSA, OK -- Renovations to Interstate 44 are closing part of Peoria for several months.

All lanes at the Peoria and I-44 junction will close at nine Monday morning. Crews are working on a more than mile-long drainage ditch that will go under the highway.

The ditch will go more than 20-feet underground, be more than 40 feet wide and is a key part of the I-44 widening process. The work should take about three months.
