CATOOSA, OK -- Catoosa Assistant Chief Paul Whitmire has been suspended with pay pending the out come of a Rogers County Drug Task Force investigation, Chief Raymond Rodgers announced Friday.
"This is on-going and at this time I am unable to release further information," Rogers said.
According to the Catoosa Police Department web site:
"Assistant Chief Whitmire began his career with the Catoosa Police Department beginning in 1992. The Administrative Commander is appointed by the Chief of Police and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Police Department. Whenever the Chief of Police is unavailable (i.e. out of town, on vacation, attending training ect.), the Administrative Commander will be in charge of the Police Department.
Assistant Chief Whitmire also coordinates and oversees the Citizens Police Academy."
Lieutenant John Mines was suspended in September during the same task force investigation.
