TULSA, OK -- Runners hit the pavement Saturday for the 40th Annual Tulsa Zoo Run.
A stampede of nearly 3,000 adults and children made their way through the zoo in 5K and 10K races and also a family fun run.
The runners even had some help from a few animal friends.

The Tulsa Zoo Run is one of the largest races in Oklahoma.
