Man Crashes Van Into Tulsa Railroad Bridge

TULSA, OK -- A man was taken to a Tulsa hospital after he crashed his van into a railroad bridge.

It happened shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday at 15th Street and the Broken Arrow Expressway traffic lanes.

Authorities say the man was heading downtown when he got on the railroad tracks at 12th Street. The man continued to travel along the tracks until he hit the bridge, police say.

The man told police he doesn't remember how he got on the tracks.  EMSA transported him to the hospital with possible head and leg injuries.

Railroad maintenance is inspecting the bridge before they allow any trains on the tracks.
