Driver Killed In Early Morning Claremore Traffic Wreck

CLAREMORE, OK -- An overnight crash in Claremore leaves a 28-year-old Claremore man dead. 

Claremore Assistant Police Chief Stan Brown says witnesses tell officers Nicholas Michael was westbound on Flint Road when he ran a red light at state Highway 66.

A northbound pickup truck driven by a Pryor resident struck Michael's car.  Brown says Nicholas Michael was pronounced dead at the scene.   

The driver of the pickup truck was treated and released from a Claremore hospital. 

The accident happened 3:37 a.m. Tuesday.
