TULSA, OK -- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has begun repairing damage to two beams on the U.S. Highway 169 bridge at Pine Street in Tulsa.
The damage was caused by an accident on Pine late Friday morning.
A trash hauling truck damaged the beams as it tried to pass underneath the U.S. Highway 169 bridge.

ODOT says the expedited repair plan involves a technique called heat straightening, in which crews will bring the steel back into alignment by using heat.
ODOT says repairs are expected to take several days to complete.
During this time, the right lane of northbound U.S. Highway 169 will remain closed and all traffic on Pine will be closed to traffic.
ODOT says with northbound U.S. 169 narrowed to one lane, motorists can expect delays and are encouraged to find an alternate route especially during rush hours.
