TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa girls have their works of art on display. There are 100 paintings from the Tulsa Girls Art School hanging at Dwelling Spaces in downtown Tulsa.
The after-school program is raising money to pay for supplies. And, they're getting a big boost from a Tulsa native making a living as an artist in New York City.
Joe Ando visited the school back in June and was so impressed by the girls' work he bought 100 paintings.
"He got really inspired by the flowers in the girls paintings, so when he went back to New York looking at their art work he created these t-shirts that have flowers on them," said Tulsa Girls Art School Director Matt Moffett.
Ando created 100 different t-shirts. They're on sale for $100 each with $92 of each sale going directly to the Tulsa Girls Art School.
The shirts and girls' art work will be on sale at Dwellings Space through Friday.
