TULSA, OK -- A Bank of Oklahoma branch located inside the Food Pyramid at 51st and Harvard was robbed Saturday.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to the bank robbery at about 3:45 p.m.
This is the 17th robbery of a financial institution in Tulsa in 2009.
The suspect presented the teller with a blue bank bag and a note demanding money, said Sgt. Dave Walker, Tulsa Police Department. The note also indicated that the suspect was armed with a gun.
The teller put an unknown amount of money into the bag and the suspect left the scene, walking to the east. Sgt. Walker said no vehicle was seen at the scene.
The teller did see a gun, but no one was injured.
Police describe the suspect as a white man in his mid to late 50's. He is described as 5'07" to 5'08" tall, weighing 160-180 pounds and has a dark tan. The suspect appears to have a full moustache with gray hair, officers said.
The suspect was wearing a black hat with white writing across the front, black, plastic sunglasses, a light colored long sleeve button shirt, with black pants and black shoes.
