OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Severe thunderstorms packing high winds and large hail downed trees and power poles and damaged other property in parts of southern Oklahoma.
There were no immediate reports of injury, but authorities said at least one house was damaged Wednesday afternoon by a falling tree in Milburn in Johnston County. Officials also reported that large trees were blown over and some were blocking roads in the county.
In neighboring Atoka County, officials said roofs were ripped off several homes and power poles were down across the area.
Power poles also were knocked down in south Oklahoma City, but there were no reports of other damage.
Oklahoma Gas & Electric reported more than 2,300 customers without electricity in central and southern Oklahoma at one point.
