CLAREMORE, OK -- The City of Claremore will be cashing in on a grant from the federal government. On Wednesday, Senator Jim Inhofe announced the city will receive nearly $2 million.
The Economic Development Administration money will be used to build a railroad facility at the North Business Park which should make it easier to ship out products.
The grant "will help the region become disaster resilient by providing additional, alternative transportation options during major flooding events and severe weather," according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
