PRUE, OK -- Alcohol was blamed for a one-car accident at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 64 near the Prue exit. A pickup was speeding westbound when it left the highway to the right onto the grassy shoulder, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on the scene.
The driver overcorrected, and the pickup crossed the highway hitting the cable barrier in the center median, flipping over on its top. The driver and passenger, who were not identified, were checked at the scene and uninjured.
The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and will be charged for repairs to the barrier, troopers say.
