Tulsa, Notre Dame May Meet On Gridiron In 2010

TULSA, OK -- The University of Tulsa and Notre Dame are in discussions to play a football game in 2010.

It's likely the game will be in South Bend, Indiana and according to the Notre Dame's tentative 2010 schedule, the Irish has open dates on October 30 and November 20.

However, The News On 6 has learned the game will not be played on November 20, as rumored by various message boards and blogs.

University of Tulsa athletics said on its official Twitter page that the game will be played in late October.

No contract has been signed between the two schools, but according to a Tulsa spokesperson, both sides are "optimistic they'll get a game together for 2010."
